Principals welcome announcement of more support for student learning and wellbeing.
The Tasmanian Principals Association has welcomed today’s announcement by Minister for Education and Training, Jeremy Rockliff, of funding for an additional 14.8 professional support staff for schools.
TPA President Malcolm Elliott said “this funding is recognition of the level of support needed in our schools. More Speech Pathologists, School Psychologists and Social Workers will add greatly to the likelihood of educational success for our young people. This need has been recognised for some time. Today’s announcement is a very welcome step in the right direction.”
